ROZIMAH ANWAR
The exhibition aims to showcase artworks which highlights the representation of the body across multiple mediums.
To give an introduction to the theme “The Body”, Antony Gormley’s Bridge and Giacometti’s L’Homme qui March I begins the exhibition to show off a traditional representation of the body - i.e perceiving the body as it truly is.
As visitors follow down the pathway, they would realise that the mirror was a one-way mirror and the act of reflecting can thus be seen by others. This is to carry across the message for one to love the body as it is without fear of society’s representation of it.
The exhibition aims to showcase artworks which highlights the representation of the body across multiple mediums.
MANIFESTO
An exhibition design, inclusive of content, spatial context and narrative, is needed to develop and expand based on a curated collection of 20 to 30 objects at the given exhibition site, Centre for Contemporary Art, Singapore (NTU CCA).
THE PROCESS
THE BODY
The Body is a prominent subject to different forms of art. The body in motion, are movements that can be choreographed into a dance routine. The exhibition aims to showcase artworks which highlights the representation of the body across multiple mediums.
THE IDEATION
The spatial layout of the exhibition began with contrasting artworks that should be seen in the same space or situated at the same area. The contrasting artworks also compares the work of an earlier prominent figure to a more recent artist. Different zones (by colour) are delegated for these contrasting artworks and these zones flow from traditional representation of the body to a modern representation.

DISPLAY DETAIL 1:
The ceiling mounted U-shaped rail is used for a series of artwork by the same artists. Sliders with hooks to support the artworks are adjustable and can withstand artworks weighing up to 4kg.
DISPLAY DETAIL 2:
The artworks in this zone are fixed to the wall using link hangers. In contrast with the dark interior of the room, the artworks are lighted up using LED lights included in a metal case. This is to highlight the artworks and to bring emphasis to the female body representation.
