THE WAYS WE SHOP
Through studying the typology of the two contrasting shopping malls, The Star Vista and Textile Centre, a design intervention is proposed in relation to Lefebvre’s philosophy of "The right to the city". The research for both malls was a collaborative work with a fellow classmate.
THE RESEARCH
The second floor of Textile Centre seems to reflect the design of the shophouses which are existing around the area.
The curved curtail wall gives a different atmosphere as compared to the usual curtain walls as it better display the elements of the shops’ interiors like the shelves and racks.

ATELIER BOW-WOW
“A style of horizontal and vertical perspective line drawings which captures details in a space”
THE IDEATION
Responding to the regional context of The Star Vista, youths and students were chosen as the target audience as they were the group of people with the least entitlement to the space. Created for youths and students, the intervention holds multiple activities to give an individual the freedom to let go of the emotions they are unable to.
